Largerstroemia indica x L. fauriei
Part of the Indian Summer Series, Crepe Myrtle "Lipan"
Purchased bare rooted last weekend from Guildford Town Garden centre. I have planted this next to the vegie gardens, it was completely bare when I purchased it, the garden centre lady pruned it for me & no word of a lie it was budding the very next day after I planted it.
The label says Lipan is a tough small tree with year round interest. Medium lavender coloured flowers in late summer, reaching 4m High by 3m wide. Hope it sticks to the label dimensions!!
Beneath my Crepe Myrtle I have planted Abelia x grandiflora 'Kaleidoscope"
Gorgeous variegated foliage with pink flowers spring to autumn
Buddleja davidii, The Buzz series. this one is ivory.
These dwarf buddleja only grow to 1m in height with creamy white flowers.
Lastly tufty grass Carex oshimensis, hopefully the Crepe Myrtle will give this little grass the protection it needs from the summer sun, because I really want it to survive, coz I really like it!~
