Screen, trellis & vegie gardens

The two screens I purchased from Stratco have been welded to a steel frame & concreted in about 3 feet down.  A cyclone wouldnt blow it over!!  Doesnt look that great at the moment but with some greenery around should blend nicely.

This little trellis which has also been well & truly concreted in, I will grow a creeper on to semi hide the man cave, thinking a mandevilla, I dont want anything too large or aggressive at the trellis only measures 2m x 2m.  The shade cloth structure belongs to our neighbour & covers his aquaponics vegie garden.

Two beautiful home built raised vegie gardens have been installed along with a small movable trellis for growing peas or beans.

We were going to buy them from stratco but they were about $250each, these were built out of left overs from the man cave at no cost. Its nice to have a win!
I am waiting to go and get some sheep poo from my mother inlaw's farm to fill them up further, but my wonderful husband has done a marvellous job along with the help of No 2 son. Well done guys!

My new home

The front view with a few sons cars parked on lawn. big plans still formulating, but the lawn will all go & perhaps a little more paving where the blue car is for parking.
From garage looking towards road (carpark),  One of my boys has already started to dig a little of the lawn out.
Two cordyline (I think), alternanthera rubys blush, an azalea were already there. I planted the Grevillea Dorothea Gordon

bought a new tank to collect rainwater from the new shed we installed in the backyard.  The shed ended up being about a metre bigger than I thought we were getting, might have been an intentional mistake by hubby!

placing tank in position, way too close to the pool for my liking, mmmm may have to make a decision on pool??

pool looking a lovely shade of green!

water tank in place & fitted up, well done boys!  Discussions to follow on fate of pool!

tank shifting

Sunday was the big day to shift the fourth tank to be inline with the other three.
New spot, all cleared & level, my potting shed behind.
It was in a different spot & the Chief wanted it shifted, to make everything more symmetrical & neater.
Our little tractor was a back saver, not much physical digging was required & looks like I might get some good dirt for my terrace garden.

shade house, looking towards olive grove
weeds need mowing, that's radish that has gone yellow, from roundup.
looking back towards shed.
You can see the three tanks through the shade house, green house & house house on the side with terrace garden in front.
Three of the four tanks.
& finally after much pulling, pushing & lots of grunting the fourth tank is in place, just in time for our next lot of rain.
Gosh these photo's highlight how much work I still have in front of me.
We have been here 7 months now & I feel as though we have not stopped for a second, but when you look around its hard to see where I've been.
Everything all looks so brown, not because of lack of rain, but because we have embarked on an intensive spraying program to try & eradicate the dreaded oxalis (sour sob), its everywhere & has the potential to make me very sad if Im not careful.
